We help men and women transform themselves and their careers.

There is always something about the arrival of a new year that leaves us wanting to start anew. Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, or you are looking for an excuse to get involved in something you’ve always wanted to try – the 1st of January has us all prepared to leave the bad times in the previous year and make the most of the new one ahead.

We think it’s fair to say that 2020 has thrown its fair share of curve balls our way. At points, I sometimes look back to December 31st and remember the clock striking twelve as we welcomed in the new year filled with excitement and anticipation.

In all honesty, if I could rewind the clock now, I think I would’ve just taken the opportunity to get an early night instead!

It really does seem like there has been one too many hurdles in the way of achieving everything we’d dreamed to over the past few months.

If you’re feeling the same as us, try not to fret. With the end of the year in sight you are more than welcome to join us in leaving all the uncertain thoughts and bad energy in 2020 and welcome a new start with open arms.

One great way to begin the new year on a high is to consider working towards a career change. Although it can seem like a big step, especially if you are comfortable in your 9-5, so many of us put up with the stress and unhappiness our daily job can bring in favour of the fear that comes with starting something new.

We want to tell you that this really doesn’t have to be difficult!

While you are reading this, take a moment and consider how you really feel about your current career journey.

Do you go to bed each night dreading the moment the shrill of the alarm clock will ring out each morning? Are you at the stage of your career that you wanted to be at by this point?
If your younger self could see you now, would they be happy?

Although dissatisfaction in your career can seem like a normal part of everyday life, it doesn’t have to be.

Instead, if you are looking for a career that will leave you looking forward to getting up with each new day, training at KLMA could help set you back on the right path. In the past, we have had many students come from jobs where they felt unfulfilled and unhappy, only to become their own boss and create a career that they love.

There are so many different benefits to becoming a makeup artist. Whether you’re looking for flexibility in a job that you can fit around your schedule, or an outlet where you can fully express your creativity, there are a range of different routes you can take.

At KLMA, we run numerous training courses that will provide you with the skills and techniques you need to succeed as well as providing you with your certification upon successful completion.

Being an MUA isn’t the only thing that’s flexible around your lifestyle – our training is to. We do part-time evening classes for those who need to fit their training around current commitments as well as run a fully comprehensive online course that can be completed without even leaving your home. For those who are unable to commit to a full course schedule, but don’t want to miss out on in-person training, our 121 sessions can be designed to fit the content and timescale that works for you.

Most importantly, we pride ourselves on the unlimited aftercare and support that we have in place for graduates. Becoming an MUA isn’t just about learning the industry skills but is also about finding the magic that you have within yourself. Improving the self-confidence and mindset of our students is so important and we want to help you continue to thrive beyond the classroom doors.

So, this year, when the clock strikes midnight, why not take a second to think about what you want from the year ahead. How do you want to feel at the end of 2021, looking back on everything you’ve accomplished? You have plenty of time to make your career dreams into a reality.

We can only hope that 2021 will arrive just in time to lift our spirits following everything that happened in 2020. Perhaps starting the new year with a new career is just what you need to find your sparkle once again.
